<p>The coal grinder with a horizontal axis comprises a drum (11) supported by two trunnions (14,15). Rough coal is led through a vertical pipe (6) near to a cylinder (32). A rough coal guide (31) is located under the vertical pipe forcing the coal by gravity into the cylinder, which has a rigid Archimedes screw on its internal surface, and discharges it into the drum. The space (35) between trunnion (15) and the cylinder is connected to a pulverised coal outlet pipe (36) through a separator (33). A principal air supply (30), upstream off the separator, is channelled to the cylinder interior. The separator and outlet channel have controlled additional air supplies (37,38).</p> |
