PURPOSE:To obtain a black color having suitable density by overprinting a black ink dot by using both a dither matrix table defined depending upon an image density level and a color matrix table. CONSTITUTION:A black ink and other color inks are output by a dither matrix table having an array of threshold values for defining a black ink output dot depending upon the density level of an image, a dot typed by overprinting black ink and other color ink and black information only color matrix tables (a)-(c) for so defining a dot of only black regularly and defining other colors and black ink that the probabilities of overprinting other colors and black ink become substantially uniform. Accordingly, vertical and lateral stripes for largely losing the quality of an image are not generated, and a color space can be intentionally adjusted. Thus, black color of suitable density is obtained, and the image can be printed in a specific color tone. |
