The proposed means for maintaining the clear passage inside a vessel or hollow organ comprises a sheet which is placed inside the vessel or hollow organ in question and takes the form of a sheet with notches which is twisted into a cylinder. The sheet is between 0.03 and 0.2 mm thick, the notches are between 0.5 and 2.0 mm wide and spaced at intervals of 0.5 to 2.0 mm. The proposed device for restoring the clear passage inside a vessel or hollow organ comprises a catheter at the distal end of which is provided a balloon provided with means for maintaining the clear passage inside the vessel or hollow organ. The sheet with notches is twisted with the balloon around the catheter's longitudinal axis to form a helix and secured to the balloon, and is provided with a fixing element to prevent movement of the clear passage-maintenance device along the catheter axis. The fixing element is fitted coaxially on the catheter's distal end at the end of the balloon.
