摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To improve engine startability and to realize the sudden starting of a vehicle by interposing a drive clutch between the engine and a continuously variable transmission, and providing a driven clutch on the output side of the continuously variable transmission. CONSTITUTION: A drive clutch 4 is interposed between an output member 15 of the engine and an input member 39 of a continuously variable transmission 3, and a driven clutch 5 is interposed between an output member 32 of the continuously variable transmission 3 and an output member 19 of a power transmission device. When the drive clutch 4 is turned off according to the shift range, the continuously variable transmission 3 and the driven clutch 5 are shut off from the output member 15 of the engine. Thus, the load on the engine is greatly reduced, and the engine can be started easily. When the drive clutch 4 is clutched in, the driven clutch 5 controls the clutch torque corresponding to the operational condition to reduce the rotational inertia load of the driven clutch 5, and the sudden acceleration can be realized on the output side of the driven clutch 5.</p>
