Tuning arrangement for an integrated optic multibeam interferometer

The device has an electrode structure (8) which is used to vary the temp. in a waveguide plane contg. several light paths by passing current through it. The size of each electrode part surface (10-15) which is thermally effective for one of the light paths in the waveguide plane has a strongly monotonic relationship with the length of the light path. A monotonic, esp. strongly monotonic, pref. linear relationship exists between the length differences of the individual light paths and the corresp. thermally effective electrode part surfaces of the electrode structure.
