摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the matching of recording rate or the number of sectors per frame over the all disks even though disk diameters are different. SOLUTION: When the outermost peripheral diameter of the effective recording area is 114mm for the disk A and 76mm for the disk B, and the innermost peripheral diameter is 54mm for the disk A and 36mm for the disk B, the number of revolution of the disk B is increased to 3/2 times taking the disk A as a reference. Then, to make the number of sectors per frame the same for the large diameter disk A and the small diameter disk B, the number of sectors of the disk B is made to be 2/3 of that of the disk A. By this arrangement, the number of sectors per frame becomes the same even though the disk diameters are different and further the number of rotation are changed. When the disk is the one having such relation as (outermost peripheral diameter + innermost peripheral diameter)/the number of sectors = almost constant, the recording rates or the number of sectors per frame are made in common, resulting to attain the common use of a signal processing system.
