PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the color change of an uncolored section by containing an oxidization type leuco dye, an oxidizing agent, a photoreducer and a hindered phenol oxidization inhibitor in a heat-sensitive coloring layer and wrapping a mixture of the oxidization coloring leuco dye and the hindered phenol oxidization inhibitor in microcapsules. SOLUTION: In a heat-sensitive recording material as a recording medium, an oxidization coloring type leuco dye, an oxidizing agent, a photoreducer and a hindered phenol oxidization inhibitor are contained in a heat-sensitive coloring layer. A mixture of the oxidization coloring type leuco dye and a hindered phenol oxidization inhibitor is wrapped in microcapsules. At least one kind selected out of compounds represented by formulas I and II is used in the oxidization coloring type leuco dye. In the formulas, R represents hydrogen atoms, chain alkyl, annular alkyl or the like, X<1> -X<8> represent alkyl, alcoxyl or the like, W represents carbon atoms or nitrogen atoms and X and Y<1> represent hydrogen atoms. |
