PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a feeling of incompatibility of a visual image due to a difference of brightness by making the brightness of the image of the part piledly visualized nearly equal to the brightness of the image of the part piledly not visualized. SOLUTION: Image signals containing both eyes parallactic information are imparted respectively to first, second display elements 27, 29 for a left eye 13 and the first, second display elements 27, 29 for a right eye 19, and the image is recognized stereoscopically by visualizing with both eyes 13, 19. In a stereoscopic display device constituted in such a manner, a left eye display means 11 and a right eye display means 17 are constituted of the first display element 27 and the second display element 29, and are arranged so that the image display parts 27a, 29a of the first display element 27 and the second display element 29 are piledly visualized in their end parts, and the brightness of the image of the part piledly visualized is made nearly equal to the brightness of the image piledly not visualized. Thus, the feeling of imcompatibility of the visual image due to the difference of the brightness is reduced. |
