PRODUCTION OF WIDE FLANGE BEAM STEEL HAVING GOOD SHAPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wide flange beam steel having stable shape by finding a necessary heart conductive quantity by each fixed length from the steel in the inlet side of water cooling zone so that the steel temp. in the longitudinal direction on the outlet side of the water cooling zone decamps within a target range. SOLUTION: Steel temp. measuring thermo-meters 6a-6f are provided on the inlet side and the outlet side of each water cooling zone 3-5 constituting a water cooling bank for the rolled steel. An arithmetic control unit 10 inputs measuring signals of each steel measuring thermometer 6a-6f and each cooling eater flow meter 9a-9b and calculates the necessary heat conductive quantity in each prescribed length of the rolled material 11. An ON/OFF control of the water cooling bank used for the water cooling is executed through a three-way cock 7a-7b in accordance with variations of the cooling water quantity and carrying speed in every time so as to become the necessary heat conductive quantity. At this time, the carrying speed and the using pattern of the water cooling bank in each rolled steel 11 to be cooled is beforehand decided. Further, the adjustment of the water cooling bank quantity is executed so that the necessary heat conductive quantity becomes in the range of the upper and the lower limit values.
