PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which exerts a shock absorbing function against a large behavior of a girder without damaging an elastic body and prevents the generation of strains in a connected portion of the girder. SOLUTION: When a pier is rocked due to an earthquake and a force acts on a chain 12 in the direction which forcibly separates girders 16 from each other, a shock absorbing function works so as to bring back the girders 16 with an elastic force of a rubber member 10. On one hand, when a force acts on the chain 12, which approaches the girders 16, the rubber member 10 is incorporated into a guide 20, which prevents the rubber from being sandwiched and damaged. Even when the pier is subjected to differential settlement and a force acts on the girders 16 so that they may be twisted, a clearance provided in a connected portion between a ring member 4 and a first ring 12A prevents the twisting force from being transmitted to the first ring 12A. Therefore, this construction prevents an excessive load from acting on the chain 12 as for displacements resultant from tensile, compression and twist or the like. |
