PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact ink cartridge of a simple structure and structurally designed to prevent an ink from leaking or evaporating. SOLUTION: This ink cartridge has an ink tank 1 for storing an ink or an ink absorber 2. The ink tank 1 has an opening 3 communicating with an atmosphere and at the same time, has a plug member 10 fitted into the opening 3. In addition, a fine groove 11 coursing the internal part of the ink tank 1 to communicate with an atmosphere is provided on the outer periphery of the plug member 10. The internal part and the the external part of the ink tank 1 are set in a mutually communicating state through the fine groove 11 by fitting the plug member 10 into the opening 3 of the ink tank 1. |
