PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively produce a decorative member excellent in adhesion, corrosion resistance, scuffing resistance and wear resistance, remarkably improved in the appearance quality of the boundary parts between recessed parts and the other parts and high in decorative value. SOLUTION: SUS304 1 as the stock is coated with a CrCNO layer 2, which is thereafter coated with a TiN layer 3 in a laminated way. Next, desired characters and/or patterns 4 are selectively formed into a recessed shape to a depth exceeding the SUS304 1 and CrCNO layer 2 by laser working. After that, it is coated with an Au-Ni alloy plating layer 5 by a wet plating method, and furthermore, the CrCNO layer 2 is peeled by etching. Finally, the decorative member giving two colors of the CrCNO layer 2 and Au-Ni alloy plating layer 5 can be formed. |
