摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a photoreceptor from being excessively charged and to form an image of high quality, by uniformly exposing all over the electrostatically charged surface of the photoreceptor with light emitted from a 2nd light source to be charged to a prescribed potential after electrostatically charging the photoreceptor up to a potential exceeding a prescribed potential necessary to form a latent image. SOLUTION: A laser beam emitted from a laser chip 1 is transmitted through a collimator lens 2, then, the beam becomes collimated light beams, and the beams enter a scanner 3. The scanner 3 is constituted of four-sided polygon mirror and a motor for driving the polygon mirror, and the beams are allowed to scan by the scanner. The scanning beam is made incident on an aspherical lens 4 used as an f-θlens and also as a converging lens so as to form an image on the photoreceptor. The beam spot of an image exposing laser beam on the photoreceptor is decided by the resolution of the formed electrophotographic image, and the surface of the photoreceptor is uniformly irradiated with a laser beam for post exposure 52, so that the beam spot of the laser beam 52 is made larger than the beam spot of the image exposing laser beam.
