PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently purify air in a limited narrow space by making a soil body up of an inner wall member and an outer wall member composing the inner wall of an air flow route through which air can be ventilated and the surface of the soil body, respectively, and a soil layer with which the space between both members is filled and in which microbes can be propagated and air can be ventilated. SOLUTION: Polluted air sent to an air flow route 10 by pressure passes an inner wall member 14, reaches a soil layer 18, passes an outer wall member 16, and turns back to open air. At the time when the polluted air passes through the soil layer 18, powder dust is captured and impurity components of hydrocarbon gases, e.g. methane, are adsorbed by the physical function of the soil as a filter. Moreover, aerobic microbes are propagated in the surface of the soil body 8 or in inner parts where air can flow and anaerobic microbes are propagated in inner parts where air cannot flow and carbon monoxide is consumed endo-bacterially in the microbes or consumed by aspiration and converted into mainly carbon dioxide and methane gas is mainly decomposed into carbon dioxide and water. |
