<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of transistors(TRs) being components of the timer circuit. SOLUTION: This timer circuit 69 has two differential pairs 72, 78 each consisting of TRs, three current mirrors 70, 76, 78 and two current sources 74, 82 which are selectable, and one inverter 84. The components above are arranged to receive an IN + voltage, an IN voltage and an IN - voltage. A Q output and an inverse of Q output re generated from the inputs above. The timer circuit is used as a component of an oscillator by connecting a capacitor 156, a current source 158 and a current drain 160 to the IN voltage terminal.</p> |
