PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multidrug resistance-overcoming agent and anticancer function promotor, free from calcium antagonistic activity, having a low cytotoxicity and capable of overcoming multidrug resistance of a cancer by compounding a specific solanesylethylenediamine derivative as an active component. SOLUTION: This agent contains a compound of formula I [(n) is 5-12; R1 and R2 are each a benzyl group (the phenyl ring of the benzyl group can be substituted with OH, an alkyl, an alkoxy, a halogen or methylenedioxy), but the case where R1 and R2 are each formula II at the same time is excluded] or a pharmaceutically permissible salt of the compound. As an example of a compound of formula I, N,N'-bis(3,4diethoxybenzyl)-N solanesylethylenediamine of formula III is cited. A compound of formula 1 is obtained e.g. by reacting a compound of formula IV with a compound of formula V (X is a leaving group such as a halogen). This drug composition is useful as an anticancer function promoter on an anticancer agent for brain tumor, kidney cancer, adrenal cancer, large intestinal cancer, small intestinal cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, etc. As an anticancer agent, taxol or its derivative is suitable. |
