PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier jet printer carrier jet printer capable of printing an image with a uniform print quality without deteriorating a substantial resolution even under adverse effects such as a change in the temperatures of a printer head or an environment, and a qualitative irregularity caused by the manufacturing control of individual printer heads. SOLUTION: This carrier jet printer consists of printer heads 1 for Y, M, C and Bk, a measuring part 2 arranged near the printer heads 1, a recording paper 3, a carriage unit 4, a flexible substrate 5, a guide rail 6 and a group of ink tanks 7 which supply an ink and a diluent. The measuring part 2 has sensors which detect state amounts relative to a printed image such as head temperatures, environmental humidity, environmental temperatures and a recording paper. The state amounts relative to a printed image are observed by these sensors to correct an image signal. Thus it is possible to print an image of uniform quality without deteriorating a substantial resolving degree. |
