PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pitch of a pixel from being shifted without decreasing recording speed and resolution by a method wherein always stabilized fly of ink is obtained by preventing interference of an electric field between adjacent recording electrodes. SOLUTION: In this ink jet recorder wherein ink in which a charged colorant particle is dispersed in insulating liquid is respectively introduced to a plurality of recording electrodes 11 which are disposed in a line state, the ink is flown by electrostatic force from the recording electrode 11 to a counter electrode 2 by applying specific recording voltage VE selectively to such a plurality of recording electrodes 11, and an image is recorded on paper arranged in front of the counter electrode, a barrier layer electrode 20 forming a barrier layer for an electric field in each space between a plurality of recording electrodes by the electric field to each counter electrode 2 is provided in each space between a plurality of recording electrodes 11. |
