PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost, improve efficiency, restrain vibration and noise, prevent breakdown of elements, enlarge a control range, and increase the starting torque of an induction motor. SOLUTION: This inverter equipment has the following; switching elements 4a, 4b and switching elements 4c, 4d which are connected in series between a power supply line and a ground line, a load connected between the connection point of the switching elements 4a, 4b and the connection point of the switching elements 4c, 4d, and inverter control means 9, 11, 12 having a first mode and a second mode. The first mode controls the elements in the manner in which one of the switching elements 4a, 4b turns on and the other turns on or on/off, in the OFF state of the switching elements 4b, 4c. The second mode controls the elements in the manner in which one of the switching elements 4b, 4c turns on and the other turns on or on/off, in the OFF state of the switching elements 4a, 4d. An AC voltage from a commercial power supply 1 is rectified by a rectifying means 2, and the rectified waveform voltage is supplied to a power supply line. |
