PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device by which image coded data at a higher speed rate than that of an existing coder are generated. SOLUTION: A signal divider 1 divides an input video signal (a) into plural blocks whose vertical size is A pixels and whose horizontal size is B pixels in total N (N is a natural number being 2 or over) per one image pattern and gives them to N-sets of coders 2. The N-sets of the coders 2 encode the video signal of each block at the same pixel position separately and simultaneously and provide outputs. The N-sets of coded data (c) obtained by coding by the N-sets of the coder 2 are fed to a multiplexer 3, in which the data are multiplexed and outputted as single image coded data (d). |
