PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the activity of sludge continuously in a stable state by mounting a gas concn. detection means on the upper part of a gas concn. detection column main body and forming a gas lead-out port to the bottom part of the column main body. SOLUTION: A gas concn. measuring apparatus is constituted of a cylindrical column main body 5a and the gas concn. detection means 6 airtightly mounted on the upper part thereof. A hole is formed to the bottom wall 5d of the main body 5a as a gas lead-out port 7b and the partial route 3B connected to a pump is connected thereto. When the pump is operated, high humidity gas is sucked into the partial route 3A and introduced into the main body 5a from a gas introducing port 7a and led out to the partial route 3B from the lead-out port 7b to be supplied to an aeration means. Therefore, a downward gas passage (q) from the side wall 5b of the main body 5b to the bottom wall 5d thereof is dominantly formed. By this constitution, the chance of the direct contact of gas with a detection part 6a is reduced and the generation of such a state that moisture in gas is condensed on the detection part 6a is suppressed. |
