PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new fused antigen useful for e.g. assay of anti- pallidum Treponema antibody in higher sensitivity and specificity, thus useful for e.g. diagnosing infectious diseases due to pallidum Treponema, by fusing plural surface antigens of pallidum Treponema. SOLUTION: This antigen is a new pallidum Treponema fused antigen obtained by two or more surface antigens of pallidum Treponema, enabling assaying anti-pallidum Treponema antibody in the blood in higher sensitivity and specificity, therefore being useful for e.g. accurately diagnosing infectious diseases due to pallidum Treponema. This new fused antigen is obtained by the following process: body cells are separated from rabbit testes with pallidum Treponema subjected to subculture, a genomic DNA is then extracted from the body cells by conventional means, and subjected to PCR process using a primer to effect cloning several kinds of antigenic gene, and these genes are integrated into an expression vector and expressed in host cells. |
