PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an image easy to see by improving the flexibility of LUT (look up table) conversion processing through the use of a segment parameter in LUT conversion processing, and converting each pixel density of an original picture to a desired one. SOLUTION: The segment parameter is stored in a parameter storing part 4 and a parameter correcting part 5 makes the segment parameter freely correctable. Then, when an LUT processing part 6 LUT-convert-processes the original picture stored in an image storing part 2 and prepares an LUT- converted picture, the part 6 makes it possible to convert each pixel density of the original image to the desired pixel density and displays this on an image display part 8 alone or with the original image. |
