PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound having an inhibitory action on a glutamic acid receptor, useful for treating cerebral nerve disease. SOLUTION: This polyamine derivative is shown by the formula 4HIA-Asn- AbuApr-Apr-(Ace-Abu)x -NH2 ; the formula 4HIA-Asn-Ape-Acm-Abu(Ace-Abu)x - NH2 ; the formula 4HIA-Asn-Ape-AceAbu-Apr(Ace-Abu)x -NH2 [- is a single bond; 4HIA is 4-hydroxyindol-3-yl-acetyl; Asn is an aspartic acid residue; Abu is NH(CH2 )4 ; Apr is NH(CH2 )3 ; Ace is NHCO(CH2 )2 ; Ape is NH(CH2 ); Acm is NHCOCH2 ; (x) is 0-3]. The compound is obtained by purifying and separating an extract of the poison gland of Nephila clavata by high-performance liquid chromatography. |
