PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently manufacture with large melting extrusion amount by incorporating excellent mechanical characteristics and corrosion resistance in a temperature range of -60 deg.C to 60 deg.C, excellent cold heat resistant cycling properties or particularly durability against severe impact by chisel driving at -60 deg.C. SOLUTION: The outer surface polyethylene-coated steel tube comprises a chromate layer, an epoxy primer layer, a denatured polyolefin resin adhesive layer and polyethylene resin coating layer sequentially provided from below on the outer surface of the tube. In this case, the adhesive layer has a thickness of 0.1 to 1.0mm, the total thickness of the adhesive layer and the coating layer is 2 to 6mm, and the coating layer is formed of sole polyethylene resin containing 90wt.% or more of high pressure low density polyethylene having weight-average molecular weight of 120,000 to 200,000 or the mixture of 100 pts.wt. of the polyethylene resin and 7 pts.wt. or less of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer. |
