GRAFT POLYMER COMPOSITION AND ITS MOLDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polymer capable of improving dyeability of a polyvinyl alcohol-based molding, especially dyeability in a basic dye and bettering fastness to light by using a polyvinyl alcohol as a trunk polymer. SOLUTION: This graft polymer composition comprises (A) a polyvinyl alcohol as a trunk polymer and at least (B) a nitrile group-containing monomer (preferably acrylonitrile) and (C) a vinyl monomer containing a sulfonic acid metal base (preferably sodium styrenesulfonate) as essential components. Preferably the component A has 900-2,500 average polymerization degree and >=95% saponification degree. The polymer comprises 30-400mol% component B based on the component A and contains >=1mol% of component C based on the component B.
