PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a sticking process of slip paper to a side end at a head end of a web by providing a slip paper supplying mechanism which supplies strip-like slip papers having adhesive layers on their rear faces one by one and a slip paper holding and sticking mechanism which holds the slip papers to be supplied from the slip paper supplying mechanism and sticks them to the side end at the head end of the web in protruded state. SOLUTION: At right and left lifting arms 17 of a web support device which forms an automatic paper connecting pre-processing device, slip paper sticking devices 1 are arranged, respectively. Each of the slip paper sticking device has a support stage 10 which is movable in the direction of a web P. On the support stage 10, a slip paper supplying mechanism 11 for supplying strip-like slip papers 26b having adhesive layers on their back faces one by one and a slip paper holding and sticking mechanism which holds the papers 26b supplied from the slip paper supplying mechanism 11 and sticks them to the side end at the head of the web P in a protruded state are provided. Thus, the slip papers can be automatically stuck to the side end at the head end of the web and the number of workers who stick the papers to the web can be reduced, thereby reducing labor costs. |
