摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to stabilize an output image and improve image quality without affecting image formation and without causing color slippage, even in the case of the occurrence of error such as fluctuation in scanning speed by generating photoreceptive parts and non-photoreceptive parts onto the surface of an image carrier by the use of a discrete latent image forming means, and forming a latent image discretely. SOLUTION: A conventional photoreceptor drum has uniform photoreceptive characteristics over the entire surface of the drum. However, in this device, the photoreceptive characteristics are minutely separated. That is, light interception parts 103 and open parts 104 are formed on the uniform surface layer of the photoreceptor 102. Thus, a laser beam 105 as an exposure light is intercepted by the light interception part 103 and does not reach the photoreceptor 102, and in the open part 104 it is emitted to the photoreceptor 102 as it is. Therefore, the photoreceptor drum has the characteristic in which its surface is masked by the light interception part 103. This means that an image to be outputted is discretely sampled on the surface. The minutely discrete potentials on this entire surface are subjected to development by a developing device and to transfer and fixing to paper.
