PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain generation of low withstand voltage or the like of a switching element, by reducing voltage in a connection point between an L load and the switching element, at the time of the switching element driving the L load. SOLUTION: In a drive circuit of a stepping motor, between a connection point A of a switching element 3a to a winding 2a and a connection point C of a switching element 3c to a winding 2c, switching circuits 11, 12 and rectifying circuits 13, 14 are provided, when one of the switching elements 3a, 3c is transferred form an on-condition to an off-condition, by differential voltage between the connection points A, C, a current is allowed to flow from the switching circuit 11 to the rectifying circuit 13 or from the switching circuit 12 to the rectifying circuit 14, so as to perform release of energy. As a result, a peak value of voltages Va, Vc of the connection points A, C can be markedly reduced as compared with in the past, generation of low withstand voltage of the switching elements 3a, 3c can be attained. |
