A device for operating a machining apparatus, the device comprising an engine (1) for operating a machine member, the machining member being arranged on a carrier, means (2) for moving the carrier in relation to an object intended for being machined, and an arrangement (3) for controlling the speed of the carrier moved by the movement means (2), the control arrangement (3) being adapted to relate the carrier speed to a resistance caused by the object. The control arrangement (3) comprises a means (4) for sensing the pressure of a fluid in a conduit (5) connected to an inlet side of the engine (1), and the control arrangement (3) is arranged to control the carrier speed as a function of the sensed pressure. |
