PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed polypropylene resin of excellent gas holding property, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This foamed polypropylene resin is prepared by melting, kneading, and then foaming the composition comprising 90-60 pts.wt. following polypropylene resin (A), 10-40 pts.wt. polyethylene resin (B), and the following foaming agent (C). The polypropylene resin (A) contains 100-85wt.% crystalline polypropylene and 0-15wt.% amorphous ethylene/α-olefin copolymer and has the following melting characteristics. (1) Melt index (MI): 2-20g/10min, (2) die swell ratio by capillary rheometer: not less than 1.7. The foaming agent (C) is a composite foaming agent comprising 1-30wt.% thermally decomposing org. foaming agent generating mainly nitrogen gas and 99-70wt.% thermally decomposing inorg. foaming agent generating mainly carbon dioxide gas. |
