PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a prepreg extremely rarely containing bubbles remaining therein. SOLUTION: This method for producing a prepreg is to impregnate a fiber substrate with a resin varnish prepared by dissolving a thermosetting resin or a thermoplastic resin in an organic solvent and drying the resultant fiber substrate. Air contained in the fiber substrate is replaced with a gas having the solubility of >=10 times in the organic solvent used in the resin varnish based on nitrogen gas at 20 deg.C, before impregnating the fiber substrate with the resin varnish. When an epoxy resin is used as the resin and dicyandiamide is used as a curing agent, dimethylformamide(DMF), diethylformamide(DFF), dimethylacetamide(DMCA) or dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) is preferably used as the organic solvent and carbon dioxide is preferably used as the gas. |
