PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the potentials of fixing rotary bodies to proper ones and to prevent the scattering of unfixed images by switching the fixing rotary bodies to electrifiable states, at the time of carrying a transfer material to which the unfixed images are transferred to the fixing rotary bodies. SOLUTION: An electrical connection controller (a) for the fixing rotary bodies is provided and a fixing roller 51 and a pressure roller 52 as the fixing rotary bodies are electrically connected. In other words, setting is attained to make both rollers grounded states, when a switch (a) is on the side of (e) and floated states, when the switch (a) is on the side of (f). Control is attained to lay the switch (a) on the side of (f), when the transfer material P is supplied and on the side of (e) except this time. Thus, when unfixed toner (t) is infiltrated into a nip, the fixing roller 51 and the pressure roller 52 are increased to the proper potentials, because the rollers are in the floated states, so that the potential difference between the rollers 51 and 52 and a toner image is eliminated and the scattering of toner is prevented as well. |
