PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a wide-range speed variation possible and thereby make the motor easily suitable for a variety of uses by switching the frequency of a speed command pulse signal and a frequency division ratio for a pulse of a frequency divider which divides the frequency of a rotation signal generated by a motor by the setting of an external setting device. SOLUTION: By the setting of an external setting device 4, a speed command pulse signal generator 3 divides the fundamental frequency determined by a quartz oscillator 2 and output by a basic signal generator 1 determined by a quartz oscillator 2 into an integral fraction through a decoder 8. Also by the setting of the external setting device 4, the output frequency of an encoder 6 which generates a frequency proportional to the rotating speed of a motor 5 is divided by a frequency divider 7 into several stages through a decoder 9. Then, the output of the speed command pulse generator 3 and that of the frequency divider 7 are compared by a phase comparator 10 and a speed comparator 11 respectively and the rotation error outputs of the comparators 10, 11 are phase-voltage-converted by an adder 12 and the voltage output by the adder 12 is supplied to the motor 5 through a feedback amplifier 13 and a motor driving section 14. |
