PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method and system for transmitting image with which an image with a specified object desirable for a viewer displayed can easily be selected when transmitting the image desirable for the viewer from an image source to an image display device. SOLUTION: Concerning respective plural images provided from an image source 1, the feature information of image pickup object contained in each image is generated by an object recognizing part 2 and sent to an image selection part 4. Based on the feature information of the image pickup object and the feature information of the desired object designated through a selective object designator 3 by the viewer, at the image selection part 4, the image containing the object designated by the viewer is selected out of plural images provided from the image source 1, and that selected image is displayed on an image display device 5. |
