<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a pipe pressing and restoring work by oneself in small space by tilting a pinching mechanism from a state where it erects upwards to a state where it is bent a specified angle to a pinching part. SOLUTION: When repairing and exchanging a gas pipe, a worker holds a pinching mechanism 3 and places a pinching part 2 near the repairing portion of the gas pipe in a digging hole. The worker operates the pinching mechanism 3 while he holds it and pinches and moves the movable part 2A of the pinching part 2. The gas pipe is pinched and pressed by a pinching part 2 to shut off gas. After the repairing and exchanging work is finished, the worker bends the pinching mechanism 3 a specified angle to the pinching part 2 by a bending mechanism 4 and changes the pinching angle of the pinching part 2 and pinches the pinched portion of the gas pipe again and returns it. Since he changes the pinching angle of the pinching part 2 and performs the returning work of the pinched portion of the gas pipe, the working space is nearly equal to that for pinching and pressing the gas pipe, which improves workability.</p> |
