PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct motion evaluation in frames consisting of periodic structure by configuring the method with a stage of discriminating adjacent periodic blocks and a stage selecting a single motion vector with respect to all blocks. SOLUTION: The method correcting evaluation of a motion between frames with a periodic structure is made up of a stage of discriminating adjacent period blocks and a stage of selecting a single motion vector with respect to all blocks. The stage selecting the motion vector has a stage totalizing error matrices of periodic blocks one by one item each. When a block just above the adjacent periodic block is periodic and an error relating to a block in the totalized matrices is a local minimum value in the line, a single vector finally stored is a vector of the block just above the adjacent periodic block. |
