PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate efficient maintenance by referring to dictionary information corresponding to the other dictionary while registering dictionary information in one dictionary for translation wherein the source language and target language are reverse, and making it possible to update even the other dictionary at need. SOLUTION: This device maintains the a 1st dictionary part 2 for translation from a language A to a language B and a 2nd dictionary part 3 for translation from the language B to the language A. A 1st dictionary registration means 41 registers dictionary information including an index word of the language A inputted from an input means 1 and an equivalent of the language B in the 1st dictionary part 2. A 2nd dictionary registering means 42 checks whether or not the equivalent in the dictionary information registered in the 1st dictionary part 2 by the 1st dictionary registration means 41 is registered in the 2nd dictionary part 3, and displays the dictionary information at a display means 5 when registered. The user corrects the displayed dictionary information at need. The 2nd dictionary registration means 42 registers the corrected dictionary information in the 2nd dictionary part 3. |
