PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color electrophotographic device capable of facilitating miniaturization and cost reduction by simplifying a structure. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a first mode for transferring a toner image formed on a photoreceptor drum 1 directly to a transfer paper, and the second mode for transferring to the transfer paper through an intermediate transfer body. The intermediate transfer body is provided with a structural part, performing rotation in the first direction for executing the image transferring from the photoreceptor belt 1 to the intermediate transfer body, and performing rotation in the second direction opposite to the first direction for executing the transfer from the intermediate transfer body to the transfer paper at the time in the second mode. The intermediate transfer body is driven, by the photoreceptor drive motor 23 in a process executing the image transfer from the photoreceptor to the intermediate transfer body, and by the transfer paper transporting system drive motor 24 in the process executing the transfer from the intermediate transfer body to the transfer paper, and that is to say, the drive transmitting is performed by switching motors. The transfer from the intermediate transfer body to the transfer paper is made synchronous operation, thereby facilitating improvement of the image quality and speeding-up of printing speed. |
