PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the concentration to the central part of an arc generated between electrodes in heavy current breaking. SOLUTION: A cylindrical magnetic tube 3A is loosely fit to the inside of a coil part 4c of a coil electrode 4. A reverse coil electrode 2 having almost a reverseω-shaped longitudinal cross section is loosely fit to the inside of the magnetic tube 3A, and the back surface of a flange part 2a formed in the outer circumference of the reverse coil electrode 2 is brazed to a connecting piece 13 in the front of the coil electrode 4. A ring-shaped contact 1 is brazed to the front of the flange part 2a of the reverse coil electrode 2, a circular plate- shaped contact 5 is formed in the center of the contact 1, and the contact 5 is brazed to the front of a connecting shaft 8 brazed to the center of the bottom of a bottom part 2c of the coil electrode 4 for fixing.
