PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or enlarge the capacity of a file by changing the file size of the current file. SOLUTION: When a 'CHANGE-SIZE' command is given from a reader/ writer device, CPU executes pre-execution check (S701). When an error exists, the message of the effect (S703) is transmitted. The file size is changed (S704). When the command normally terminates (S705), the message of the effect is transmitted (S708), and the command is terminated. The type of the file whose file size can be changed is two types of DF/WDF. The change of the size supports increase/decrease. The size of DF without capacity designation (number of management pages is FFh) cannot be changed. DF without capacity designation is the file whose idle capacity is always matched with the idle capacity of a master file and whose capacity depends on that of the master. |
