Modular luggage comprising nestable components of which some may be mutually releasably connected, and consisting of a first rigid outer luggage component that in turn consists of two rigid shell halves pivotably connected by a hinge, and is provided with handle means, closure means and optionally wheels. The luggage further comprises means for mounting a second soft luggage component (2) inside said first component, said second component being provided with attachment means (12a, 13a) engageable with attachment means (12, 13) on the first component for releasably mounting the second component inside the first component. The second component (2) comprises handle means, closure means and means provided on its side surfaces for releasably attaching pouches or bags that may form third soft luggage components comprising means for either attaching same to one or both of the outer side surfaces of the second component (2), or closing said third components, said third luggage components being provided with handle means and closure means. The assembly thus consists of a first rigid shock-proof luggage component (1), a second soft luggage component (2) that may be mounted inside the first component or used separately, and third soft luggage components (3) that may be attached to the outside of the second component (2) or used separately.
