<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the user to easily seek an object item by using a name of a group as a list by providing a control means displaying a different screen image for each layer in the case of displaying a list of items onto a display means. SOLUTION: When a menu key of a portable telephone set is depressed, each group name of groups 1-5 is displayed on a 1st page E(A-E) of a menu. A cursor is moved onto a desired group name by up or down-operation of a jog dial on the menu one by one sequentially. This is similar to a 2nd page (F-J). When a desired group name 10 on the page J is clicked, function items of a subordinate layer of the group are displayed. On a 1st row of the menu indication, a group name of a host laver containing the items is displayed and each item is displayed from a 2nd row to 5th row. The user easily understands as to at which stubordinate layer the user stays based on the display of the host layer in this way.</p> |
