<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to detect the fault of a stored hot water temperature sensor even when the sensor of a water heater indicates a pseudo temperature to be halfway fault. SOLUTION: This stored hot water temperature sensor fault detector for a water heater comprises a burner 40, a hot water storage can 10, a stored hot water temperature sensor 14, and a controller 50 for controlling the combustion of the burner 40 based on the temperature information from the sensor 14 to obtain a set hot water storage temperature. The sensor 14 by the controller 14 monitors the detected temperature of the sensor 1 during the combustion of the burner 40, once stops the combustion of the burner 40 when the detected temperature does not rise to a predetermined temperatureΔT1 or higher even if a predetermined time t1 or more is elapsed, and discriminates that the sensor 14 is a fault when the detected temperature is not lowered to a predetermined temperatureΔT2 in the combustion stop state even if a predetermined time t2 is elapsed.</p> |
