PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent surface electric potential of a toner carrier body from fluctuating by composing the outside layer of the toner carrier body of two layers, a surface layer and an inside layer, and making the inner layer an insulated layer made of an insulated material and the outside layer a layer made by means of dispersing conductive particles on the insulated material. SOLUTION: A developing device 11 has a developing roller 14 as a toner carrier body journalled inside a developing unit 13 and the developing roller 14 is arranged on the surface of a photosensitive body drum 12 in the developing zone so that it may make an elastical contact with the surface. The developing roller 14 is composed of a four layer structure, that is; a core metal layer, a conductive elastic body layer, an insulated layer composed of a 50μm thick LUMIFLON 601 and a LUMIFLON 601 composed of dispersing 30μm thick carbon thereon. In other words, an identical insulated material is for the layer composing the outside layer and the inside layer, that is; the layer composing the outside layer is made by dispersing carbon as a conductive material on an insulated material composed of an insulated material LUMIFLON and the inside layer of the surface layer is made of an insulated layer composed of the insulated material LUMIFLON. |
