PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the generation of a moire image on the basis of an interference fringe when an image is formed by exposing the image on a photoreceptor by the monochromatic light, and stably obtain a clear image having the high concentration by making a cylindrical base body on which a photosensitive layer is arranged by polishing a surface of a cylindrical base body material by a rotary grinding wheel. SOLUTION: A cylindrical base body raw material 1 is rotated with the axis X as the center, preferably, at 300 to 600 r.p.m., and a disk-shaped polishing surface of a rotary grinding wheel 2 to rotate at 400 to 800 r.p.m. with the axis Y as the center is brought into pressure contact with this cylindrical base body raw material 1 under pressure contact force of, for example, 1 to 50Kg. The rotary grinding wheel 2 is moved at speed of, for example, 0.10 to 1.0m/min to the other end from its one end in parallel to the axis X of the cylindrical base body raw material l, and polishing work is performed on the whole surface of the cylindrical base body raw material 1. Surface roughness of a cylindrical base body obtained by being polished by the rotary grinding wheel 2 is expressed by ten-point average surface roughness Rz, and preferably, falls within a range of 0.3 to 3.0μm. |
