<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the take-up of a tape at high speed without damaging the tape by reducing the rotating speed of a right side reel with the control of a capstan motor, when the FG period of a left side reel is detected and this period becomes lower than a prescribed period at the time of fast forwarding the tape. SOLUTION: When an idler 22 is pressed in contact with the right side reel 24, the magnetic tape 16 is fast forwarded. Eight (8) pieces of reflecting plates, by which a light is reflected, are adhered on the back face of the left side reel 26 keeping specified spaces for each other, and absorbing plates are adhered between these reflecting plates, then a photosensor 38 is arranged so as confronted with these surfaces. These parts are similarly arranged also on the right side reel 24. Eight (8) pieces of FG pulses per one rotation of the left side reel 26 are outputted from the photosensor 38 and supplied to a microcomputer 12. By the microcomputer 12, the FG period (reel pulse period) of the left side reel 26 is detected to control the capstan motor 14 at the time of fast forwarding the tape, and the FG period of the right side reel 24 is detected to control the capstan motor 14 at the time of rewinding the tape.</p> |
