INFORMATION RETRIEVAL DEVICE AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability when information of WWW(worldwide web) of the internet is retrieved. SOLUTION: A CPU 21 makes a video camera 24 input an image and a GPS 26 detects the current position. The CPU 21 reads image data corresponding to position data on the periphery of the detected position among image data, stored corresponding to the URL of a WWW server, out of a WWW data base through a MODEM 27 and a host machine 4. Then the CPU 21 selects data matching the inputted image out of the read-out image data and reads the URL corresponding to the image data out to access the WWW server of the URL.
