PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the printing durability without reducing developing property, image reproducing property, printing characteristics and solvent resistance by making a photosensitive layer flexible in terms of the initial modulus of elasticity of its tensile characteristics. SOLUTION: This waterless planographic printing master plate is produced by forming at least a photodimerization photosensitive layer and a silicone rubber layer in this order on a substrate. The tensile characteristics of the photodimerization photosensitive layer are specified to show 5 to 75kgf/mm<2> initial modulus of elasticity. More preferably, the plate has >=10% fracture elongation and proper flexibility. The photodimerization photosensitive layer contains a compd. which has a photodimerization structure in the molecule and can be dimerized by irradiation with light. In this case, the compd. having one or more hydroxyl groups and one or more photodimerization structures in one molecule is a component which acts as the potodimerization photosensitive layer component. The hydroxyl groups present with the photodimerization structure groups contribute to the adhesion effect with an upper silicone rubber layer by irradiation of active rays. |
