PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a air-fuel ratio sensor having superior waterproof properties which can stably and surely seal and fix a lead wire into a lead wire insertion hole, and can be set at a high temperature part. SOLUTION: The sensor is constituted of protecting covers 11, 12 set above a housing 10 and an elastic insulating member 2 arranged inside the protecting covers 11, 12 and having lead wire insertion holes 20 for the insertion of lead wires 31, 32, 41. The minimum thickness of the elastic insulating member 2 between lead wire insertion holes 20 closest to each other on a perpendicular face in the axial direction, and the minimum thickness between the lead wire insertion hole 20 closest to the outermost circumferential face of the insulating member 2 and the outermost circumferential face are both 1mm or larger. Moreover, the protecting covers 11, 12 are caulked inward, so that an outer diameter of the elastic insulating member 2 is deformed 10-20%. |
